Asia's Largest Shaheed Smarak Being Built In Ambala In Memory Of Martyrs Of 1857 Revolution: Anil Vij

 A grand Shaheed Smarak is being built in Ambala to honour the memory of brave soldiers who were martyred during the first war of independence, the 1857 revolution. Haryana's Energy, Labour and Transport Minister Sh. Anil Vij shared information about this important project in the Assembly today. This memorial will cost about Rs 580 crore and it will be Asia's largest memorial.

In his address, he said the heroic tales of Rani Lakshmibai, Tatya Tope and Rao Tula Ram, the freedom fighters of the 1857 revolution, will be told in this memorial. He said all those places where the battle of this revolution was fought, including Ambala Cantt, Ahirwal and Panipat in Haryana, will be mentioned at the Smarak. He said this memorial will be a medium to pay tribute to those martyrs who were not remembered for a long time.

Sh. Anil Vij invited the Chief Minister, Members of the Assembly and mediapersons to visit the memorial so that they could understand the importance of this historical place.
